Displaying coupon offers in the cart

Offers put your WooCommerce coupons inside the Caddy cart, in a dedicated tab customers can browse and apply without hunting for codes. It’s the easiest way to surface a sale to a shopper who already has items in their basket. Offers are a Caddy Pro feature.

Configure it at Caddy > Settings, in the Offers section.

Setting up offers

  1. Create the coupons you want to promote in Marketing > Coupons (standard WooCommerce coupons — percentage, fixed cart, fixed product, with any restrictions you like).
  2. In Caddy’s Offers settings, switch Enable offers on.
  3. Use Coupon selection to pick which coupons appear in the cart. Only the coupons you select are shown.
  4. Save your settings.

The cart now shows an Offers tab with a badge counting the available coupons. Customers can open it and apply any offer with one click — the discount applies instantly and the cart totals update without a page reload.

Showing or hiding coupon details

By default each offer lists its conditions — minimum spend, usage limits, whether it excludes sale items, and its expiry date. If you’d rather keep the offer cards clean and simple, switch on Coupon details to hide the restrictions from shoppers (the restrictions still apply at checkout; they’re just not displayed).

Good to know

  • Expired coupons disappear from the Offers tab automatically — no need to deselect them.
  • All normal WooCommerce coupon restrictions are enforced when the customer applies the offer.
  • For automated, per-customer coupons (unique codes generated when a cart hits a threshold), use a workflow with the Generate & Apply Coupon action instead.
